Last Burning Embers are a band in the tradition of swirling, dense, melodic American, British, and Australian underground rock of the past thirty years with a certain modern vitality. Reference points are wide and varied, but the goal is to produce earnest, heartfelt material with an unmistakable edge and lushness, sometimes stark and scathing, sometimes expansive and ponderous. LBE straddle sub-genres effectively and embrace a variety of influences: late-70's punk and post-punk values through long-standing and extensive involvement in the underground rock community, wide-ranging musical inspirations, accomplished musicianship, and a willingness to expand boundaries while ignoring current trends, especially in their home base of New York City.
